Donate to FYFB

Money. Food. Clothes. Books.
Donate to make a difference.

Your contribution allows FYFB to deliver a multi-service program to help prevent homelessness in Toronto. Did you know that over 97% of all our funding comes from private donations? People like you. We need your help today.

Online Donations

Donate securely online to the FYFB Holiday Fund at the Canada Helps website.

Simply click on the Canada Helps logo and follow the instructions.

Special Occasion e-cards

Give the gift of FYFB with an eCard at the CanadaHelps website. An FYFB Special Occasion eCard lets friends, family, colleagues and clients know you are committed to helping our community's most vulnerable people.

It's simple. Click here for the FYFB page at the CanadaHelps website, select donate now, and in the Dedications and Gift Options section you can choose either "a gift in memory of" or "a gift in honour/on behalf of". An eCard sharing the news of your special gift is immediately sent to the person you are honouring with your donation.

Receive a Tax Receipt

We would also like to take this opportunity to remind you that donations will entitle you to a donations tax receipt when filing your tax return. Furthermore, a donation of securities which have risen in value since being purchased by a person, will allow the donor, in most circumstances, to pay only 50% of the capital gains tax otherwise payable, while receiving a donation receipt for the full market value of the of the securities. Your tax advisor would be able to assist you in making a donation of securities to FYFB.

Give Monthly

The Friends of FYFB Monthly Pledge Program is an important way for FYFB friends to help ensure we deliver consistent programming to our clients throughout the year. Simply click here to visit CanadaHelps and select 'Donate Monthly'. Choose how much you can afford to have deducted from your credit card to help our community's most vulnerable people. You will immediately begin providing FYFB a stable source of funding every month. The CanadaHelps Frequently Asked Questions section offers additional details about this important program.

Securities

FYFB welcomes the gift of securities. A donation of securities which have risen in value since being purchased by a person, will allow the donor in most circumstances to pay no capital gains tax. The donor will still receive a donation receipt for the full market value of the securities. Your tax advisor will be able to assist you in making a donation of securities to FYFB.
