FYFB RE-LAUNCHES WEB SITE

Food Bank Upgrades Online Presence

Toronto, ON (September 29, 2006) The Fort York Food Bank (FYFB) is proud to announce the re-launch of its Web site, FYFB.com, following a massive overhaul undertaken by xguru Inc. and the food bank's marketing communications committee. The upgraded site features client photos and quotes, improved navigation and more information on programs and services than ever before.

"We're thrilled to be taking our Web site to the next level," said Douglas Anweiler, an FYFB board member and Web site upgrade instigator. "This resource houses great examples of the fine work done at FYFB everyday by our staff member, volunteers and board."

Claire Del Net, a local photographer, put a face on the Web site through her photographs of clients and volunteers.

"As a small, not-for-profit organization, we rely on the help of our friends, people like Andrew Colebeck from xguru and Claire Del Net," says Ravi Sreedharan, FYFB's president. "We're so grateful for their donations of time and expertise."

About the Fort York Food Bank

FYFB is a multi-service agency focused on reconnecting people with our community. We do this by working with partners who share our vision to: feed the hungry by providing the basic nutritional requirements to individuals and families in need; and, help people get on track by providing counselling, training and advocacy to help people find jobs, safe housing and appropriate social/community programs.

FYFB was founded in February 1998 as an independent agency of the Daily Bread Food Bank Foundation of Toronto. FYFB is a registered charitable organization -- number 867147464 RR0001. FYFB is governed and managed by a voluntary Board of Directors who are elected by our membership at our AGM.

FYFB originally focused on providing emergency food supplies, but to meet the economic and social needs of the most vulnerable people within our community and resolve our clients' underlying issues, FYFB's programming has grown to an integrated set of services to prevent homelessness, eliminate hunger and provide a safe environment for connecting with our community. Please visit www.fyfb.com for more information.
