What's Happening @ FYFB

Thanks for your support in 2006.

We are grateful to the many individuals, schools, churches, families and companies who ran food drives and brought in donations over the holiday season and the past year.

Season of Joy

Once again this year FYFB provided clients with holiday hampers filled with items not usually available from the food program, like a Christmas chicken. This year 251 hampers helped 339 adults and 143 children. Children received toys and blankets were distributed as well. FYFB would like to thank the ChumCity Christmas Wish Foundation who provided funds for the hamper program as well as for the Five Days of Christmas.

Holiday Fund Appeal

The Holiday Fund Appeal raised more than $4,600 this year. Thank you to everyone who donated to the campaign - you made a difference for Toronto families over the holiday season.

The Five Days of Christmas

FYFB wants to thank the many wonderful volunteers and donors who helped FYFB's clients to have Christmas here. With special thanks to Chai Kosher Poultry and Quality Meats, FYFB offered five days of fabulous Christmas meals, sharing the spirit of the season.

Winter Relief Fund

Torontonians have been lucky to have escaped the bitter cold of winter well into January but the cold weather is on its way and winter is an extremely challenging time for FYFB as we strive to meet the increased needs of our clients. Click here to support the Fund.

A big FYFB 'thank you' to all those who came out to support us during December at Black XXXmas and Cross the Trax. More than $300 was raised. FYFB would like to thank the organizer of Black XXXmas, DJ XXX (Bryen Dunn) and DJ Baggie of Cross the Trax for their continued support. Black XXXmas and Cross the Trax want to thank the many bands and DJs who came out to support FYFB including Little Black Stitches, DJ 4est, DJ General Ready, Rock Steady DREW and DJs JIMMY LIMIT.

Another big FYFB 'thank you' to all of you who bought Michael Berubé's This Christmas CD from FYFB. A special thanks to Ian Sorbie and Il Fornello for sweetening the deal with a $10 gift certificate with every CD purchased. 86 CD's were sold raising $430 for FYFB.
