GMAC ResCap Recognizes Employee and FYFB Volunteer Marianne Gwon
Marianne recently won an award for community involvement from her employer, GMAC ResCap. That award came with a $6,000 donation to FYFB which will be used to support the Winter Relief Fund. FYFB volunteer Marianne Gwon sat down to chat about her work at FYFB and her award.
Ernst & Young Builds Team and Community at FYFB
Ernst & Young is a valued corporate partner with FYFB, contributing both volunteer hours and funding to support our vision of reconnecting people with our community. FYFB Connects spoke with Ernst & Young's Corporate Social Responsibility program manager, Tara Berze, about our shared vision and how corporations can make a difference in community organizations.
Annual General Meeting Notice
The FYFB AGM will be held February 21 at FYFB, 797 Dundas Street West at 6:30 p.m. All FYFB friends are welcome. FYFB encourages members who are unable to attend to sign a proxy form and drop it off at FYFB ensuring their voice is heard.
Through the generous contributions of friends like you, FYFB has raised $14,128 towards its March 31st goal of $37,000. But with the extreme cold gripping Toronto, the demands upon FYFB have never been greater. We need your help to ensure we meet our funding objectives so we can continue to meet the urgent needs of our clients.
Save the Date to Strike Out Hunger
Once again FYFB is inviting you to a fun night of bowling with your friends and colleagues to support FYFB's work. Mark your calendar for Thursday, May 31.
Spare some time, friend?
Last year our TTC Fundraising Blitz raised more than $4,000 in much-needed funds. This year, we'd like to have more friends on hand to help canvass commuters. If you're available April 4 between 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. we'd love to talk to you. Click here to get board-member Ingrid Sapona's take on her experience collecting funds last year.
